About Me
Born in Viana do Castelo and raised in Canada, I grew up between two worlds—grounded in Portuguese values while shaped by a North American mindset. That dual perspective has defined both my life and my work.
I started my first business at 16 and went on to study Finance and International Business in Alberta, building a career rooted in entrepreneurship and independence. Over the past 35+ years, I’ve founded 10 businesses across hospitality, tourism, technology, and media in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., and Portugal.
My connection to Portugal never faded. Through language, culture, and lifelong ties to the community, I’ve maintained a deep understanding of the country—its people, its nuances, and how it truly works.
Having also lived and invested in the U.K. for a decade, I bring a broader international perspective that allows me to understand, anticipate, and bridge the needs of clients from different cultures.
That’s why I created The Portugal Insider: to offer a level of insight, empathy, and guidance others simply can’t.
